Artist: Adam, Patrick William, RSA · 1854-1929
Adam was a student at the RSA Life School annually from 1874-5 to 1878-9 inclusive. He shared the Stuart Prize in 1877 with E Kirkpatrick and T Wilson and in 1878 took the prize for the best painting from the life as well as the Maclaine Watters Medal, for the present work.
