A sketch looking through the side window of the upper floor of the two-storey part of Temple Cottage which was Gillies' home from 1939 until his death looking across the pan-tiled roof of the single-storey which contained Gillies studio a the far end and a sunlounge the glazed roof of which is visible at lower left.
