Road, Bantaskine

Artist: Cadenhead, James, RSA · 1858-1927

The artist married Wilhelmina Wilson on 1891-10-22, the sixth daughter of John Wilson, Coal Master and his wife Mary Russell, who lived at South Bantaskine, near Falkirk, which house John had built for his family. John Wilson was probably related to William Wilson of Banknock, a collector of paintings during the 19th century and who lent on ocassion to the RSA Annual Exhibition.
