The second printed insert page details the genesis behind the portfolio, which came about as a result of an invitation from Glasgow Print Studio to Elizabeth Blackadder to exhibit in their Gallery during the 14th World Orchid Conference in Glasgow in 1993. The portfolio was produced and proofed by Stuart Duffin, Ruth Greer, David Watt, David Palmer and Joanne Traynor. The etchings were taken from 18g copper plates, printed on Somerset Satin 300gms paper using intaglio inks procuded by Harry Rochat.
