The Young Shepherd

Artist: Wilson, David Forrester, RSA · 1873-1950

Similarly titled paintings "A Young Shepherd" were exhibited at the RGI in 1928 catalogue number 95 and at the RSA in 1929 catalogue number 216. These may have been the same piece as the Diploma Work. The shepherd has been identified as Stanley Wilson, one of David Forrester Wilson's three sons. Identification was made by David Wilson of Stirlingshire, grandson of David Forrester Wilson in Feb 2011.
