Artist: Littlejohn, William Hunter, RSA RSW RGI · 1929-2006

The Signal Tower, in Ladyloan, Arbroath, is a complex of buildings built in 1813 by Robert Stevenson for the Northern Ligthhouse Board. It served as the shore station and family accommodation for the keepers of the Bell Rock lighthouse situated 11 miles off the coast, until 1955. The building is now run as the Signal Tower Museum by Angus Council.
