John Maclauchlan Milne Untitled Sketchbook Number 4

Artist: Milne, John Maclauchlan Milne, RSA · 1885-1957

Milne first established himself as an artist in Dundee and lived there for a considerable part of his life before moving to Corrie on the Isle of Arran in the 1940s.

There are a couple of sketches in this book which were made in France as well as lists of works included in the artist's solo exhibition in the Autumn of 1935 and a preparatory study for an oil painting known to have been executed in 1934.
