According to the donor this piece relates to RAND0052 (Maquette for The Brecks). The Brecks is in East Anglia on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. No work with the title Wax Piece appears amongst the slides of Rand’s work in the Keith Rand Studio Gift Archive and it is therefore presumed never to have been taken to completion.

Small metal clips on the inner faces of the constituent parts lock these in place
