Sleeping Cat
Artist: Crawford, Hugh Adam, RSA · 1898-1982
According to Alastair Ross RSA when he visited the RSA stores and viewed this painting on the 19th March 2009, the chair in the painting is an Arne Jacobsen chair that was given to Hugh Adam Crawford when he retired as Principal at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and the painting would have been made at and probably depicts the interior of Crawford's house at Blanefield in Stirlingshire, a former manse.
