In June 2009 a lady from Guernsey contacted the RSA as she has an oil sketch for 'Play' "It is entitled sketch for Diploma Picture for RSA 'Play' by Hugh Cameron'. The sketch is dated 1869 which also serves to confirm the date of the Diploma Work. Copies of correspondence and images of the sketch are in Cameron's file. An identical painting entitled 'Party Tricks' undated with almost identical dimensions (31.0 cm x 46.0 cm) came up for sale at Lyon and Turnbull on 28th November 2006 although it is a little sketchier in treatment (image of painting in Cameron's file). An identical painting by Hugh Cameron with similar dimensions to the Diploma Work was also for sale at St Andrews Fine Art in January 2007 (title and date unknown)
