Musidora

In 1833 William John Thomson had exhibited a work at the RSA Annual Exhibition entitled "Musidora" catalogue number 217, in the catalogue this title was accompanied by the reference "See THOMSON'S Seasons" (the painting illustrates a scene from James Thomson's poem 'The Seasons') where Musidora bathes watched by her lover Damon) This exhibited piece may be the same painting as the Diploma Work.
