The subject is the garden wall of the painter's home at 7 Auburn Terrace, Invergowrie to which she and her painter husband Gordon S Cameron RSA moved in 1962-63. The garden there or flowers from it were to feature in many of Ellen Malcolm's paintings from this date until her death.
