Tuesday 27th April 1993 – Wine Labels and cook-book cover “Barbara Rae undertook to investigate [wine tasting with Cockburn & co.] and report back and the President would consider which artists might be approached for designs for the labels”

Thursday 24th June 1993 – 2a Rae reported wine tasting had been discussed with suppliers, Cockburn and co, and this should be delayed as they waited for a more suitable white wine.
“With reference to the design for the labels, the President [William J.L. Baillie PPRSA] suggested that, on this occasion, two lady members of the Academy might be asked if they would be prepared to design an appropriate label. This was approved and thereafter Barbara Rae agreed to design a label for the white wine. She also undertook to make enquiries as to whether any firms specialised in the printing of wine labels and the approximate cost of obtaining same”.

Wednesday 3rd Nov 1993 – Matters Arising, Wine Labels. “Barbara Rae promised to have her design for the white wine label by the following week.” Matters Arising, T-Shirts “Barbara Rae had been busy with the production and selection of the designs to be used on T-shirts” [Baillie, Blackadder, Littlejohn, Robertson].

Thursday 10th February 1994 - 2b “In Regard to the wine labels, the Secretary reported that the first batch had been printed at a very short notice to be ready for the new cookbook launch on 10th December. Better quality labels had now been printed in ‘Chromolux’ which had a nicer appearance and were more durable…Barbara Rae and Elizabeth Blackadder were satisfied with the samples and it was recommended that the better quality labels be purchased”.
