Lock Gates
Artist: Muirhead, John · 1863-1927
The artist exhibited a number of paintings a the RSA between 1894 and 1923 with subjects on or near to the River Ouse in Norfolk. These included only one which specidcally included "lock" in its title; being his 1916 exhibit, "The Lock, Houghton." Ther present lock appears to have been modernised, but the origoinal may be that featured in the present work
