The verse below image is by Joos van den Vondel (ref The Works of Vondel, various editors, Amsterdam,(1931), Part 5 p. 561)

New Netherlands Biographical Dictionary, Leiden (1914) Part 3 gives biog details of the sitter and states that his effigy was engraved in brass by Visscher and the verse in the plate was executed by Vondel. The original engraving plate is in Weert.
