The RSA Council Minutes suggest that this engraving is after one of Stewart's own paintings, however the only work of this title recorded as engraved by Stewart is listed as being painted and engraved by Stewart after Rubens.
Stewart's first exhibit at the RSA AX was in 1830 when he showed "Hide and Seek" (cat.86).
The present location of Stewart's original oil is not known.

This is a lettered impression, the inscription reading; Lettered below the image with the title in semi-filled letters and 'Painted and Engraved by James Stewart / Printed by Lloyd & Hennings. / London, Published Jany. 1, 1834, by Moon, Boys & Graves, Printsellers to His Majesty, No. 6, Pall Mall.'.
