Granny's Cottage, Millfield

The "Granny" referred to in the title was an elderly lady known as "Granny Anderson" who lived on the estate of Millfield near Falkirk owned by the Railway Engineer John Miller, with whom Hill and his brother Alexander collaborated on the 1832 publication of Views of the Glasgow and Garnkirk Railway, and who remained a close friend and patron of Hill's.
Perth Museum and Art Gallery holds a pencil drawing by Hill dated 1849 of "Granny Anderson"
