Coldingham Priory
Artist: Gillies, William George, Sir, CBE RA RSA PPRSW · 1898-1973
Gillies is recorded as having visited the ancient village of Coldingham in Berwickshire in the summer of 1955 as well as the nearby fishing ports of St Abbs (originally Coldingham Shore) and Eyemouth.
The village is here viewed from the West with the remains of the red sandstone Coldingham Priory, converted to the Parish Church, prominent on its raised elevation in the centre of the drawing.
