Artists’ Studio Gifts

Everything from finished artworks, to drawings, studies and sketchbooks, plus often their tools, objects of inspiration and substantial archives and libraries. Artists’ studio gifts provide behind-the-scenes insight into artistic lives and practice. From the William Gillies bequest of 1973, to the William Littlejohn, David Michie, Keith Rand, Philip Reeves and Benno Schotz gifts this century, this area of collecting is one central to the artist centricity of the RSA and its history.
