the imprint used by the poet and writer Alan Bold after settling on the Balbirnie Estate near Markinch, Fife, in 1975. The colophon narrows it further to East Cottage, Balbirnie Estate, Markinch. The cost of the publication was supported by the Scottish Arts Council. Bold references this publication in his essay on Bellany in the catalogue for the Bellany Retrospective exhibition held at the SNGMA in 1986 in which he writes; "Though Bellany's art can express anguish and a deep concern for human suffering, he is one of the most life-enhancing men I have ever met and being with him is to recall T.S.Elliot's remark about a lifetime burning in every moment. I found this quality confirmed when working with him on 'A Celtic Quintet' (1983), 'Haven' (1984) and 'Homage to MacDiarmid' (1985)."
