A double portrait of the English Actor and Playwright Daniel Terry (1789-1829) and his wife Elizabeth Nasmyth or Terry (1793-1862) a daughter of the Scottish painter Alexander Nasmyth.
First published by Geddes in his portfolio of Etchings by Andrew Geddes, London, 1826, the print was subsequently reissued in a collection of prints by Sir David Wilkie and Andrew Geddes under the auspices of David Laing HRSA in 1875
