Forresthill Near Eddleston

The village of Eddleston in Peebleshire is about 10 miles south west from Temple village where Gillies lived from 1939 until his death in 1971.
He would have driven out of Temple on the B6372 to its junction wit the A703, and the cottage depicted in this work probably sat close to the road he travelled.
