There appear to be two different versions of this piece, one with a feather plume or hackle adorning the horse's head, the other without. A cast of the former, numbered 4/10 and inscribed with the title on the integral base plate was Lot 522 at Lyon & Turnbull's Decorative Art Design Since 1860 sale 2020-04-01, whilst a cast of the latter, numbered 5/10 was with Architectural Heritage Company of Gloucestershire.
