The work provides a view of the mediaeval walled seaside town of Alghero on the western coast of northern Sardinia, viewed apparently from the sea, with foreground rocks, harbour wall and a lighthouse painted in bands to the left, behind the city are gently rising hills and the moon. Printed in red and blue evocative of a night-time scene.
It is one of a small group of prints inspired by a trip to Sardinia in the late 1950s.
