The Banks o'Allan Water
Artist: Farquharson, David, ARA ARSA · 1839-1907
One of a number of paintings by Farquharson which show a solitary ploughman working the final furrow of a field. His most widely known version, after its publication as an engraving by the Royal Association for the Promotion of the Fine Arts in Scotland c.1878-79, was titled "The last Furrow."
