The print is dedicated to the original owner of the painting, Nathaniel George Philips Esqr, but the present location of Allan's original oil is not known, however Aberdeen Art Gallery holds several preparatory chalk drawings of the heads of some of the participants.
The BM holds an impression, acc. no.1873,0809.585. This is a lettered impression, the inscription reading; the title, a dedication from the painter to the owner of the original painting, Nathaniel George Philips Esqr., around a crest bearing the motto 'Simplex Munditiis' and "Painted by William Allan A.R.A. / Engraved by James Stewart / London _ Published July 1st. 1827, for the proprietor by R. Ackerman, [sic] Strand. / Printed by Mc.Queen".
