A Celebration of Death
Artist: Watt, James [Jamie] Douglas · b. 1992
On depositing the work, the artist stated that he uses cuttings from newspapers/ tourist guides which he had collected in Italy during his Kinross Scholarship, and this is one of a series of works produced from these following his return to Scotland. The overarching theme is of duality; good and bad; reconextualisation of images; connotations of image schange in conjunction with others against which they are juxtaposed.
