Fête Galante
Artist: Wallace, Alasdair · b. 1967
The title is taken from a generic term used to describe the style of painting made popular by Watteau.
The work is painted onto a printed etching proof featuring a series of circles each containing a letter, which spell out the word ‘PROSPECT’. This is a development from a two plate etching.
