The New Reredos in St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh

The reredos appears to have been commissioned by The Company of Merchants of the City of Edinburgh which presented the reredos to St Giles Cathedral in June 1953 to commemorate 250 years of association with the Cathedral. In 1954 at the RSA Annual Exhibition, Esme Gordon exhibited a piece entitled 'St Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh - new reredos'
