The Dreamers

This painting appears to be a copy of Albert Moore's 'The Dreamers' rather than an original painting by Moore. It was examined by Richard Green of York City Art Gallery, 1990-10-16, who said that it was unlikely to be by Moore because is painted on board, there are 'woolly' areas of painting on drapery, tiles and shoulder of right woman, it is a very precise copy and is unlikely to have been done as a preparatory sketch also there is a lack of references to the painting in RSA archives and if it was by Moore this lack of mention would be highly unlikely. ( Possibly a student copy?)
