One of Hill's earliest publications. Hill issued a printed Subscription circular for this print, a copy of which, alongside Hill's original accompanying letter to Anthony Murray Esq survive in the Maxtone Graham of Cultoquhey Muniments, National Archives of Scotland GD155/1341, for transcriptions of which by Helen Smailes SNG (2006) vide RSA Alexander Hill reference file.
BM holds a copy of the present work ref 1902,1011.2533, vide also RSA 2014.169 for another impression trimmed to the plate
