The artist was in Italy on a 2006 RSA John Kinross Travel Scholarship.
The work is a commercially produced printed colour postcard of Florence and Santa Maria del Fiore on which the artist has painted in white oil paint, his brushstrokes retaining the integrity of the architecture of the cathedral building with its famous dome.
