Houston exhibited an identically titled painting "An Ayrshire Glen" catalogue number 158 at the 1909 RGI Exhibition, this painting was unsold but is untraced, he also appears to have exhibited an identically titled work "An Ayrshire Glen" catalogue number 20 in 1923 at the Royal Institute of Painters In Watercolour (See, P78 and P29 of Robson, Euan "George Houston Nature's Limner" Atelier Books, 1997)
