Head of a Dog

researcher Pat Clark suggested [2018-02-19] that this may be a study related to the painting of two collies which Walls received as a commission from the industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. At the time of its donation, Walls' son suggested that in his opinion the present picture was an early work by his father.
