Shifting Shadows

An identically titled painting "Shifting Shadows" was exhibited at the RSA in 1913 catalogue number 30 and was not available for sale, this may have been the same painting as the Diploma Work. It may however have been the smaller version of the Diploma Work (40.5 x 56.0 cm) that came up at auction in 2005 (Sotheby's Gleneagles Hotel Sale, 31 August 2005) a copy of the catalogue entry for this painting which is signed but not dated plus a photograph of the painting is in Hutchsion's folder in green box file 'Members Research File H'.
