Ponte Vecchio : Dream and Display

The print takes the form of an elevation of how the Ponte Vecchio in Florence looks; the "Display" element of the title.
This print relates to RSA 2026.0172.1 which shows the setting of the present work and RSA 2026.172.2(a) which provides an alternative elevation for the Ponte Vecchio. In that work the frontage is one of regular, matching, high-class shop fronts which have no extraneous clutter to obscure the architectural integrity of the upper structure of the bridge.
The prints were conceived as a result of the time spent in Florence by the artist on her RSA John Kinross Travel Scholarship and her own specialist interest in architecture.
