The print takes the form of an idealised elevation of how the Ponte Vecchio in Florence would look; the "Dream" element of the title.

This print relates to RSA 2026.0172.1 which shows the setting of the present work and RSA 2026.172.2(b) which provides an alternative elevation for the Ponte Vecchio. In that work the frontage is heavily obscured by balconies, roof terraces, extensions and air conditioning units amongst other architectural clutter.

The prints were conceived as a result of the time spent in Florence by the artist on her RSA John Kinross Travel Scholarship and her own specialist interest in architecture.
