The present work was printed at Peacock Printmakers in Aberdeen.

The print was commissioned from Peacock by Aberdeen City Council as a gift which the Lord Provost could give to distinguished visitors to the City.

Demarco sketched the panoramic cityscape from the roof of the since demolished St Nicholas House, whilst the sky was sketched separately from the window of an upstairs bedroom in Arthur Watson's then home.
