1911 Coronation Commemorative Medal
Sculptor: Mackennal, Bertram, Sir, HRSA · 1863-1931Medallist: Royal Mint
Mackennal was entrusted with the commission for the Royal Mint Coronation Medal and his profile of the King was subsequently used for the coinage and also for the postage stamps of King George V's reign.
The medal was originally issued in a small square paper envelope which is here present, printed on its face 'CORONATION MEDAL/ 1911./ SILVER/ Royal Mint'
