Studies of Tombs in Santa Croce: 4. Alfieri
Artist: Thomson, Erin · b. 1998
Thomson was inspired by the so-called Stendhal or Florence Syndrome focusing on a series of emotional responses to the city.
The tomb of the dramatist Vittorio Alfieri (1749-1803) is in the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence.
The artist usually works in fountain pen and ink and the move to conte was a new medium for her.
