Parsonage Down I
Sculptor: Rand, Keith John, RSA · 1956-2013
handcarved bleached lime wood sculpture formed of two interlocking pieces, on a detachable base. The piece stands vertically and the angular shape of the two interlocking pieces, was inspired by areas of chalk downlands in the Parsonage Down Natural Nature Reserve in Wiltshire.
This formed part of a large tranche of larger sculptural pieces from the Studio Gift which were not received by the RSA Collections until 2017-08-16, nearly two years after the initial gift was made.
