Peploe was a student in the RSA Life School every year from 1892-3to 1895-6 inc.
In 1893 he was awarded the Chalmers-Jervise Prize for the best Drawing from the Life; in 1895 the Maclaine-Watters Medal and in 1896 came first equal with Robert Hope for the Chalmers Bursary.
