Two Old Crows
Creator: Woodside, Christine Ann, RSW · b. 1946
The work adopts a framework subsequently deployed by Woodside in many of her landscape paintings after she settled in Fife, where the landscape is depicted in changing weathers and at different seasons, usually with a backdrop of hills, with foliage or walls and fences in the foreground which often features other common bird types, such as magpies, or by the introduction of dogs, most notable a single or pair of whippet-type animals.
