Canal Near Port Dundas
Creator: Reeves, Philip Thomas Langford, RSA PPRSW RGI RE · 1931-2017
The power station cooling towers at Port Dundas in the north of Glasgow were a recurring object in Reeves’ work. They were camouflaged during the Second world War but have since been demolished. The flattening of the picture plane in this work anticipates his turn to collage seen in 'Blea Moor.'
