the work was produced by the artist during her Alastair Salvesen Travel Scholarship which is recorded in the RSA Annual Report, 2002, Notice 8 as follows; "The Alastair Salvesen Art Scholarship.
The winner of the £10,000 Scholarship was Lorna McIntosh a graduate from Edinburgh College of Art. She used the prize to travel to Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. On her return, an exhibition of her works was held at Fettes College from 14 November - 11 December."
