Harvey, Jake, RSA

Jake Harvey studied Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art between 1966 and 1972 and in 1971 he was awarded the Andrew Grant Travelling Scholarship travelling to Greece and Crete. In 1989 he won the RSA William Gillies Bursary and travelled to India. His sculpture features figures and animals and makes references to the Scottish landscape. One of his best known works is the Hugh MacDiarmid Memorial. He has exhibited at the RSA since 1973, he became an Associate Member of the RSA in 1977 and an Academician in 1989.
