Engraver, ARA, founder of family dynasty, father of Charles. Published an edition of Johnson's British Poets jointly with George Kearsley in 1802. Responsible for 'strengthening' Hogarth's copperplates for the Baldwin, Cradock and Joy edition, 1822.(BM website)
