A student at Edinburgh College of Art 1979-83, graduating with 1st Class Honours, followed by a one-year post-graduate year there, before moving to live and work in West Berlin. Whilst at ECA she was the recipient of a Richard Ford Award to undertake travel to visit public collections in Spain.
