Peach, Dorothy M.

b. 1922

A gifted painter who trained at Edinburgh College of Art where she formed a relationship with John Maxwell RSA, who painted her portrait and sent her personalised cards containing the initials CYK (consider yourself kissed) and her initials. Also studied in France and the USA according to biographical noted in 1951 ACGB (Scottish committee) exhib catalogue 'Contemporary Scottish Paintings.' She exhibited at the RSA each year between 1945 and 1955 except 1950, and also at the SSA, gaining generally favourable reviews.
