1629 – 1706

Spent most of his active life in Amsterdam where he established his business in 1654 and published his first Atlas in 1662. In 1695 he published many of the printing plates of the prestigious Blaeu publishing business. His widow carried on his business for 4 years following his death in 1706 before selling the stock and equipment at auction in 1710.
